Songs from the stone Jug
This year we are thrilled to be performing in New Zealand as part of the Oamaru Victorian Heritage celebrations for 2017. This years theme is Crime and Punishment. We will be performing two concerts that centre around this grizzly theme!
From the sobering verses of condemned men, to the cheeky satires of old bobbies, music has never been far from a crime scene. The Pearl and Dagger Company present Songs from the Stone Jug featuring chamber music alongside criminal intrigue.
Welcome to my Victorian parlour said the fair lady to the debonair gentleman, come and be wooed by the lush sounds of Rheinburger’s piano quartet, and Verne-Bredt’s gloriously romantic piano trio. But beware: below the veil of respectability lurk devious minds.
Concert 1: Friday November 17th, 8pm.
